Wayne Rooneys cars

What cars won’t Wayne Rooney be able to drive for two years?

The Everton and former England footballer has been banned from driving for two years, and is well known for his car collection.

Everton and former England international footballer Wayne Rooney has been banned from driving for two years following his conviction for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Manchester United’s record goal-scorer was also ordered to perform 100 hours of unpaid work in conjunction with a 12-month community order, as well as pay £170.

It’s safe to say it hasn’t been Rooney’s finest hour and this adds to the speeding fine that he had from August last year.

This is unfortunate for the striker as he is known to be a big car fan, owning some rather excellent cars since becoming a top-class footballer.

His list of cars has included Range Rover Overfinches, Bentley Continentals, a Lamborghini Gallardo, an Aston Martin Vanquish S and an Audi RS6 Avant. That’s an impressive list, but what future cars could Rooney be missing out on while he’s banned from driving.

Here’s some potential options…

Bentley Continental

Rooney has owned a Continental before, but the latest one is arguably the best-looking yet and comes with a 6.0-litre, twin-turbo W12 engine. With a high-end finish and excellent performance figures, he’ll be dreaming of driving this car for a while.

The most extreme Land Rover yet is a rather handsome machine and this could be a change of pace for Rooney when he eventually gets back on the road. The 5.0-litre V8 is rather brutish and in the same line of comfort and performance as his Range Rovers.

Audi RS4 Avant

The 31-year-old has owned fast, practical Audis before and this is the latest one. Coming to the UK very soon indeed, this blue bullet could be on Roo’s wish list. With plenty of power at its disposal, 442bhp in fact, what’s not to like?

Or he could dream about this one! The first rear-wheel-drive Audi sports car is in the familiar guise of the R8 and has the same performance figures as the standard V10 model. Even the red stripe might appeal, but he may wish it was in an Everton shade of blue instead.

Aston Martin Vanquish S

As he has owned Astons before, this is arguably the best one at the moment. Plenty of power, performance and poise, the prolific striker may wish he hadn’t been banned. A great looking Aston is always desirable, but this one more than most.

BMW M5

The BMW M5 is a petrolhead’s idea of fun. More horsepower than you can shake a stick at and plenty of practicality that can’t be sniffed at. Wayne may be hoping that the two years pass quickly because this is a tantalising machine.
