(Mon 01 Oct 07) Citroen has introduced a "carbon trading down" scheme called GO LO CO2 to encourage buyers to switch to cars with lower CO2 emissions.
The offer comes in the form of a £500 cashback for anyone who replaces their current car with a C1, C2, C3, C4 or Berlingo Multispace with a lower CO2 rating, or £1000 in the case of the Xsara Picasso. Any other cashback arrangements remain in place, so it's now possible to buy, for example, a C1 Vibe 1.0i for £5995, or a Xsara Picasso 1.6i 110 Desire for £9995. The chances of you owning a car with higher CO2 emissions than a Citroen are quite high - the company currently has more than 20 models available in the UK which produce 120g/km or less. |
