Alfa Introduces Sportiva Trim Level
(Thursday 23 August 2012)
Alfa Romeo's MiTo and Giulietta have both been given a new range-topping trim level called Sportiva, which includes extra equipment above what's already supplied on the Distinctive and Veloce respectively.
The MiTo Sportiva comes as standard with 18" alloy wheels, sports kick plates and darkened interior headlining, black alcantara seat upholstery and black leather for the steering wheel and handbrake, all with contrasting green stitching.
This fairly modest upgrade is, according to Alfa Romeo, worth £1500, but the Sportiva costs just £750 more than the Distinctive, with prices starting at £16,100 for the 85bhp TwinAir version.
The improvements which turn the Giulietta Veloce into a Sportiva are more comprehensive, and worth £3000, though the actual price premium is £1860. For that you get 18" alloy wheels with a dark titanium finish, red Brembo brake calipers, sports kick plates, leather upholstery and a rear armrest with its own storage compartment.
There are six Giulietta Sportivas altogether, the cheapest being the £23,110 105bhp 1.6 JTDM-2 diesel.
