SEAT Introduces Exeo Ecomotive
(Thursday 26 July 2012)
The latest low-CO2 Ecomotive model to join the SEAT range is a version of the Exeo family car. Available to order now, these machines all use the same two-litre turbo diesel engine - producing either 118bhp or 141bhp - and have a six-speed manual gearbox, along with start/stop, energy recovery, a lower than normal ride height and Goodyear low-rolling resistance tyres.
Regardless of the power output (and, more unusually, whether the Exeo you're talking about is in the saloon or ST estate body style), SEAT quotes identical combined fuel economy and CO2 emissions figures of 62.8mpg and 117g/km respectively. They all therefore fall into Vehicle Excise Duty Band C, which means they're by far the cheapest Exeos to tax at £30 per year, and have a Benefit In Kind rating of 17%.
The Ecomotives also come in the full range of trim levels, namely S, SE, SE Tech, Sport and Sport Tech. The only change is that they all run on 16" wheels, despite what may be the case with those trims in other Exeos.
Prices for the Ecomotive models start at £20,040 for the 120PS S saloon.
