SEAT Mii Goes Automatic
(Friday 24 August 2012)

The SEAT Mii city car range has been expanded with the introduction of a new version called the Auto.. It's almost identical to the SE with the one-litre petrol engine in its more powerful 74bhp guise, the single difference being that it has automatic transmission.
Well, sort of. In fact the gearbox is the same five-speed manual fitted to all other Miis, but the changes can be automated and there's no clutch pedal.
There's a slight drop in straightline performance, but fuel economy and CO2 emissions improve to the same 62.8mpg and 105g/km achieved by manual-transmission cars with the 69bhp engine. According to SEAT there are "currently no plans" to create a 69bhp automatic.
The Auto is available in both three- and five-door body styles, priced at £10,390 and £10,740 respectively. The first examples are due to reach the UK in early November.
