Prices for this supermini start from as little as £6,995 for an entry-level Access model, though if your budget will stretch, it could be worth opting for the plusher Essential or Comfort models. MG is going from strength to strength in the UK with its ever-improving line-up of new cars, which are stylish and well-equipped. It’s also impressively spacious, too – particularly for what is quite a compact model.
Prices for the MG3 start from £9,495 for the entry-level ‘Explore’ model, which comes with LED daytime running lights, Bluetooth and all-round electric windows. Dacia Logan MCV
You probably think that a £10,000 budget restricts you to just having a small city car or supermini, but once again Dacia is showing off its incredible value by offering an estate car for less than £10,000.
The Logan MCV is an ideal family car for those on a budget, with a generous amount of rear space and a massive 573-litre boot. Prices start from just £8,495 MRRP, though this budget stretches to the mid-spec ‘Essential’ model, which features air-conditioning, Bluetooth® and electric front windows.

Skoda Citigo
Skoda’s Citigo supermini is one of the best city cars on sale – offering stylish looks and a surprisingly practical cabin in a very appealing package. It’s also one of the most affordable cars in its class, too, with prices starting from just £8,890.
While the entry-level ‘S’ specification – the only grade available for under £10,000 – isn’t particularly well-equipped, it still gets you electric front windows, remote locking and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
