2016 DS 4 and DS 4 Crossback pricing confirmed

Pricing details have been confirmed for the 2016 DS 4 hatchback and new DS 4 Crossback.

The updated DS 4 and its all-new Crossback iteration have officially gone on sale in the UK. Pricing starts at £19,495 for the regular DS 4, while the more rugged Crossback is available from £21,745.

Updates for the new DS 4 range include the brand’s latest design signatures like the ‘DS Wings’ front end, new personalisation options, new trim levels and up-to-date Euro 6-compliant engines.

The regular DS 4 premium hatchback, which continues to rival the likes of the Audi A3 and BMW 1 Series, is available in two trim levels – Elegance and Prestige. The latter trim is priced from £20,745.

Engines for the DS 4 include a 128bhp 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol and a 1.6-litre THP petrol with outputs of either 163bhp or 208bhp. The THP petrols are available for the Prestige trim only.

Diesels units are also available, including a 1.6-litre BlueHDi with outputs of 118bhp, 148bhp and 178bhp. The 178bhp is exclusive to the Prestige trim and this engine and trim combination is the most expensive in the regular DS 4 range, costing £25,495. All DS 4 engines are turbocharged and feature stop-start technology as standard.

The DS 4 Crossback has a simpler range with fewer engines available and just one trim. Customers can pick either the 128bhp 1.2-litre petrol or the BlueHDi diesel with the 118bhp or 178bhp outputs. These diesels bump up the Crossback’s price to £23,495 and £26,495 respectively.

For all engines except the 163bhp THP and the 178bhp BlueHDi, a six-speed manual gearbox is standard. For those exceptions, a six-speed automatic gearbox is used instead and this same gearbox is an extra-cost option for most other engines.
