Alpine to open seven centres around the UK

The reinvigorated sports car brand is making its mark in the UK market following the release of the A110

French manufacturer Alpine is opening seven sales centres around the UK, with the assistance of parent company Renault.

The centres have been placed based on “their locality to prime regions for sports car enthusiasts” and they are being opened in the wake of the release of the A110 – which offers looks and performance reminiscent of the original 1960s legend.

Although all 1,955 Première Edition models were sold quickly following the unveiling of the new model, the standard A110 is on sale – which offers the same engine and drive setup as the Première version.

The centres will be opened in the second quarter of 2018, with sites in Glasgow, London, Manchester, Orpington, Solihull, St Albans and Winchester chosen to lead the way for the sports car brand.

The site in London will be a studio dedicated to the brand that will showcase old models alongside the new A110, although the address is yet to be confirmed.

Régis Fricotté, Alpine Cars international sales director, said: “We know that the new A110 is much-anticipated – particularly for the many sports car fans in the UK.

“We believe the A110 offers a unique proposition for the UK and we have high expectations for the car here, with the UK being a true sports car market.”

Groupe Renault UK managing director Vincent Tourette added: “The announcement of the Alpine Sales Network comes as the brand enters the UK market with the beautiful A110.

“Customers who reserved the Première Edition versions of the new model will be the first to collect their cars from the Alpine Centres. The interest we’ve received since the A110 was first unveiled is extremely inspiring for the future of the brand and we look forward to welcoming visitors to the Alpine Centres in 2018.”
