Aston Martin DB5 most sought-after Bond car

The James Bond car which is the most sought-after by the public is the Aston Martin DB5, according to recent research.

Data compiled by online marketplace eBay has revealed which cars that have appeared in the James Bond 007 film franchise are the most popular, in terms of how often memorabilia related to it is purchased.

It has been discovered that a piece of memorabilia related to the DB5 is sold every 30 minutes, and 37 pieces in total are sold every day on average.

The sort of memorabilia consumers buy relating to this car includes posters, model cars, full-size parts and even completed vehicles.

The Aston Martin DB5 is widely considered the most iconic James Bond car of all time. Actors who have played the role of Bond and driven a DB5 at some point in the movies include Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.

James Bond films which the DB5 has starred in include entries such as Goldfinger and GoldenEye, along with more recent films such as Casino Royale and Skyfall.

Other results from eBay’s research reveals that the Citroen 2CV, which has appeared in two 007 films, is the second most sought-after Bond car for memorabilia. On average, a piece of memorabilia related to this classic car is sold every hour.

Completing the top five list of Bond cars with the most sought-after memorabilia is the Sunbeam Alpine - which appeared in Dr. No - in third. That’s followed by the Lotus Esprit, from The Spy Who Loved Me, and the Toyota 2000GT, which appeared in You Only Live Twice.
