Audi announces prices for updated e-tron EV range

The range sees the introduction of a more affordable ’50 Quattro’ version.

Audi has announced the prices for its revised e-tron range, which now features a new entry-level version offering a more affordable price and a reduced electric range.

Slotting beneath the ’55 Quattro’ model is the ’50 Quattro’, which features a revised electric powertrain producing 309bhp and 540Nm of torque. Its smaller 71kWh battery also reduces the electric range to 190 miles. Audi claims that its batteries can still be charged to 80 per cent in 30 minutes, though the model lacks the 150kW rapid charging capability of its larger sibling.

Revised trim levels also feature on the new model, with buyers able to choose from Technik, Sport, S line and Launch Edition.

The new Technik version remains well-equipped, though, as it still features LED headlights, leather upholstery, electric front seat, 20-inch alloy wheels and twin touchscreen to name but a few features. Prices for the Technik start from £59,900, excluding the £3,500 electric car grant.

Sport, costing from £62,600, brings revised 20-inch alloy wheels, sports seats and wireless smartphone charging, while S line models feature a revised styling kit, sports suspension, larger 21-inch alloy wheels and Matrix LED headlights, with these available from £66,700.

Sitting at the top of the range is the luxurious Launch Edition version, which boasts a camera-based door mirror system, as well as a panoramic sunroof and a 360-degree camera to name but a few features.

Audi is also giving all e-tron buyers a free 7kW home wall box for charging, which allows the electric SUV to be charged overnight. Drivers will also be given access to the new e-tron Charging Service, which gives access to thousands of chargers across the UK with an RFID card. To add to the appeal, Audi is also throwing in two free services for customers that are financing the e-tron.

The new e-tron range is now available now.
