Audi Sport has revealed the latest version of the R8 LMS race car, which will be used around the world in endurance race series.
This is the second-generation of the R8 LMS, and after debuting back in 2015 the model has won multiple long-distance races at tracks such as Spa-Francorchamps, the Nürburgring and Laguna Seca.
Supplied to customer racing teams, the car has been built to comply with the latest FIA regulations and Audi has also ensured it conforms to current operating costs.
Audi Sport spent a lot of the development for this model on offering customers with a better technical base to work from, with the optimisation of aerodynamic performance and ability to drive across different conditions consistently, as well as ensuring the transmission is more durable.

The new R8 LMS has a sale price of €398,000 plus VAT, and following FIA homologation, it will be racing from January 2019.
