Fiat Tipo range expands with new City Sport model

The new trim brings sportier looks to this family hatchback’s range

Fiat has introduced a new City Sport trim for its Tipo hatchback, which offers a racier look and more in the way of standard equipment.

The Vauxhall Astra rival is Fiat’s largest hatchback, and offers a roomy interior and affordable price. This new City Sport version sits at the top of the line-up, standing out with its gloss black grille, door handles and mirrors. It also features large 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, ‘Sport’ badging and full LED lighting throughout.

Inside, the City Sport gets additional chrome detailing, including for the handbrake, air vents and steering wheel. It also offers more in the way of standard kit – building on the previous Life trim level with features including keyless entry and start, front and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera.

It’s available exclusively with a turbocharged 1.0-litre petrol engine that allows for a 0-60mph time of 11.6 seconds, while Fiat says it can return 51.4mpg, with CO2 emissions of 130g/km.

The Tipo was only recently updated, with Fiat giving the model a tweaked design at the front, new engines and more in the way of standard equipment. A new ‘Cross’ version was also introduced, bringing rugged looks to the line-up.

Prices for the Tipo City Sport start from £20,695, with the model available to order now, with deliveries set to arrive shortly.
