Ford Mustang with Clive Sutton tuning pack can offer 700bhp

Three new tuning packages for the Ford Mustang have been revealed by British supercar dealer Clive Sutton, and one of these packs can push the power output to 700bhp.

Previous generation models of the Ford Mustang have been hugely popular with tuning companies in the past, and the latest right-hand drive model in the UK will be no exception.

The three new Sutton Bespoke Power Packages comprise of the CS350, the CS500 and the CS700. Each has been designed to appeal to UK and European buyers of the latest Mustang.

While performance figures haven’t been released for these packages yet, it’s been reported that tests will take place in the near future which will shed light on such details before they go on sale later this year.

The first pack, the CS350, is available exclusively with the 2.3-litre EcoBoost version of the Ford. Costing £4,990 to fit to the Mustang, this pack focuses on intake and exhaust modifications to boost output from 313bhp to 330bhp.

The CS500 pack, also priced from £4,990, boosts the Mustang’s V8 output from 412bhp to 440bhp, but the CS700 goes much further with the V8’s power.

The full range of CS700 upgrades cost £15,660 to fit and boosts the V8’s output to a whopping 700bhp, which is more than you get from even the new Ford GT supercar. When you add the cost of this pack on top of the price of a new Mustang V8, the CS700 in total costs £54,155.

Chassis-only upgrades also available

If Mustang owners are not too fussed about giving their engine more power, but want a more aerodynamic and aggressive-looking car, then customers can opt for the Clive Sutton chassis packages instead.

For instance, the CS700 chassis mods alone can be bought for £6,090. This adds upgrades including a KW coilovers sports suspension kit which lowers the car by 30mm, along with 20-inch alloy wheels and the option to add stickier tyres than a regular Mustang.

CS500 and CS350 chassis packages are also available. Both cost £950 and add a suspension upgrade that lowers the ride by 25mm. When choosing one of these chassis packages, Clive Sutton will paint the car’s wheels in a custom colour.

Also available from Clive Sutton is a brake package for £1,975 – which adds upgraded lightweight disc brakes – and an Appearance Package priced at £3,240.

This Appearance Package includes carbon side skirts, a carbon front splittter, carbon rear spoiler, painted wing mirrors and the Mustang’s ‘5.0’ and ‘Pony’ emblems are painted gloss black.
