Honda increases prices across model line-up

Honda has announced price increases for several current models, including the Jazz, Civic, HR-V and CR-V.

The increase in prices for the HR-V range has already taken effect, while other Honda models will receive their price increase from January onwards.

Honda says that the average price increase for its models is 2.3 per cent, which is about on par with the wider industry.

The largest individual price increase made by Honda is for the HR-V crossover. Its starting price has gone up by 4.4 per cent, meaning it is now set at £18,495 – that’s £500 more than before.

The Honda Jazz, meanwhile, will be subject to a 2.3 per cent price increase for all specifications, with exception to the entry-level one. That means the starting price of the Jazz actually stays at £13,495.

A 2.3 per cent rise in pricing will also be made to the models in the Civic hatchback and Tourer range. From next year, pricing for the Civic hatchback will start at just under £16,500, while the Civic Tourer will start at just over £19,000.

The Honda CR-V price range will go up by just 1.9 per cent at the start of next year, meaning the SUV will start at £22,770.

Honda UK’s Managing Director, Philip Crossman, explained: “In the wider context we must ensure industry price competitiveness.

“To achieve this we have undertaken a comprehensive review of our product pricing over the last three years to understand where Honda sits in comparison to our main competitors and have determined that we need to raise prices accordingly.”
