Jaguar unveils its new XJR flagship model for 2018

Jaguar has unveiled it's new 2018 XJR flagship model equipped with some serious modifications, both inside and out.

Jaguar has revealed its 2018 XJR, the latest version of the flagship, performance-enhanced XJ saloon.

As Jaguar’s largest saloon, the XJ is easily recognisable – and now the car has been updated for the 2018 model year, with the range-topping XJR getting even more bite than ever before.

Equipped with unique exterior badging, twin bonnet louvers and gloss-black rims, the XJR’s aesthetics are enhanced to make the vehicle look sportier.

The interior has also been enhanced featuring bespoke embossed tread plates, engraved diamond-quilted seating and additional 575 branding on the seats, wheel and dashboard.

The 575 badging refers to what’s under the hood, as the car features a 5.0-litre V8 supercharged engine that now delivers 575PS, which translates to 567bhp. The engine also boasts 700Nm of torque and is capable of reaching a top speed of 186 mph and the 0-60mph sprint time is just 4.2 seconds.

The vehicle also has a variety of new features including a larger central console touchscreen, allowing drivers to pinch and zoom when using the cars sat nav, and 4G Wi-Fi capability.

The 2018 XJ line also comes equipped with the latest safety technologies including Forward Detection, Lane Keep Assist and Autonomous Emergency Breaking.

Jeremy Hicks, Jaguar Land Rover UK MD stated: "The very latest technology and peak of Jaguar performance are now available in our flagship model, adding to the already impressive package of style, comfort and agility.

"The Jaguar XJ has always been designed as the ultimate luxury driver’s car, and with the new 2018 model year range and the XJR575 we’ve made it even more desirable.”

The 2018 XJ is available for order in the UK, with prices starting from £59,995 or £93,710 for the new XJR.
