Kia announces details for latest Ceed

The third generation of the large hatchback goes on sale from August 1 and will start from £18,925.

Kia has released prices and specs for the next generation Ceed, with the South Korean hatchback starting from £18,295.

Going on sale from August 1, the Ceed will be available in four trim levels alongside three engine and two transmission options.

As standard in the base ‘2’ grade model you get 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control and seven-inch touchscreen infotainment with Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity, as well as a leather steering wheel, reversing camera, lane keeping assist, forward collision avoidance assist and driver attention warning.

As the first of two special editions from launch, the Blue Edition comes with 17-inch alloys, privacy glass, power-folding mirrors, rear parking sensors and LED headlights on top of the ‘2’ trim. Coming in an exclusive Blue Flame paint job, it also comes with an eight-inch touchscreen and TomTom sat-nav, and starts from £21,095.

Following on from that, the ‘3’ grade adds rain-sensing wipers, dual-zone climate control, LED indicators, auto-dimming rear-view mirror and a 4.2-inch information display in the instrument cluster. Pricing is yet to be confirmed for this trim.
