Kia Soul Urban special edition launched

Kia has expanded its Soul range with the launch of a new Urban special edition. It fits in between the existing Connect and Connect Plus models in the Soul range and starts from £15,500.

Exterior and interior changes

Available to order now in the UK, the Kia Soul Urban features the SUV pack as standard, which adds a contrasting black finish to the wheel arches, side skirts, roof and lower fascias.

Other exterior updates include electric folding door mirrors with integrated LED indicators, LED rear combination and high level brake lights alongside front daytime running lights and privacy glass. Rear parking sensors are also standard for the Soul Urban.

Customers can finish the Soul Urban’s exterior in a single solid paint job or one of three metallic paint colours. The solid paint is Clear White while the metallic options are Caribbean Blue, Inferno Red and Quartz Black.

Inside, the Kia Soul Urban has black woven seats with yellow trim and makes extensive use of soft touch materials and black high gloss trim. DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity, a USB port and an auxiliary socket all come as standard too.

Engine choice

The Soul Urban is available with two engines - a 1.6-litre GDi petrol unit with 130bhp or a 1.6-litre CRDi diesel with 134bhp.

Both engines use a six-speed manual gearbox as standard but the diesel unit can alternatively utilise a seven-speed DCT automatic ‘box instead. The diesel and manual gearbox combination is the most efficient, officially returning 58.8mpg combined and emits the least CO2 at 128g/km.
