A pub landlord in Tintagel, Cornwall, is offering regulars a lift home in his all-electric Nissan e-NV200 seven-seater over Christmas and the New Year.
Rafael Krasnodebski who owns Ye Olde Malthouse Inn, said: “I’m a huge believer in electric vehicles and love the e-NV200. That’s why I came up with this idea of driving customers home after closing time. More people are out celebrating at this time of year so I wanted to make sure they have a good time without the worry of getting home afterwards.
“It’ll hardly cost me anything but will ensure visitors get back safe and sound over the Christmas and New Year period. It’s also a great opportunity to get others to experience electric motoring.”
The Nissan e-NV200 shares its technology with the Nissan LEAF electric car, and has a range of up to 106 miles. It can reach a top speed of 76mph and with a rapid charger you can replenish the batteries to 80 per cent full in half an hour.
