The Lexus LC 500 premium coupe, which will rival the likes of the Bentley Continental and BMW 6 Series, will start from £76,595 when it launches this June. Orders can now be placed for this new high-performance luxury car.
This is the new flagship coupe for the Lexus range and the £76,595 price tag applies to not just the V8-powered LC 500 spec but also the LC 500h model which uses a V6 hybrid powertrain.
The LC 500 uses a naturally-aspirated V8 petrol engine with 467bhp, the LC 500h uses a 354bhp 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine, mated to an electric motor and ten-speed automatic gearbox.
Standard kit for the Lexus LC coupe includes full LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors, 20-inch alloy wheels, a glass panoramic roof plus a raft of driver assists and safety aids.
The cabin also features heated and vented seats and a 10.25-inch infotainment display that controls the onboard sat-nav system and media functions. Besides the packs, there are only a few items on the LC’s options list, which include metallic paint, a colour heads-up display and a 13-speaker audio set up in place of the standard 12-speaker system.
Option packs include Sport and Sport+, which are priced at £4,000 and £9,000 respectively. They both add some sportier-looking cosmetic tweaks to the exterior and interior of the Lexus. Examples include a carbon fibre roof, sports seats and Alcantara upholstery.
A more hardcore version of this new Lexus coupe, called the LC F, will reportedly arrive during 2018.
