Mercedes AMG A35 Saloon released

After the hatchback version was unveiled last year, German manufacturer has fitted the A-Class Saloon with the same turbocharged 2.0-litre engine.

Mercedes has taken the covers off the all-new AMG A35 Saloon.

Featuring the same powertrain as the hatchback version, the A35 Saloon comes with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged engine that develops 302bhp and is paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch AMG-developed transmission with 4Matic all-wheel drive.

With that combination, the A35 Saloon can go from 0-60mph in 4.6 seconds and reach a limited top speed of 155mph.

In contrast to the standard A-Class Saloon, the A35 comes with AMG’s Panamericana grille, larger air intakes, front splitter, chrome trim elements and 18-inch alloy wheels, with the option of 19-inch alloys.

Mercedes also fits AMG suspension, the sub-brand’s Dynamic Select drive mode system, Ride Control suspension set-up and high-performance brakes.

Inside, the A35 comes with the MBUX infotainment system and the ‘Hey Mercedes’ voice-activated assistant, which is displayed via the dual 10.25-inch display panel in the Widescreen Cockpit that combines the instrument and infotainment displays.

Leather sports seats, air conditioning and ambient lighting are also included, with the vehicle’s full specification yet to be released.

Prices for the A35 Saloon are yet to be confirmed, but expect them to start close to the A35 hatchback’s £35,580 starting price.
