Mercedes S-Class cabriolet pricing confirmed

Mercedes has confirmed that the new S-Class Cabriolet will start pricing at £110,120 and is available to order now. First deliveries of this car will arrive this summer.

Specs and engines

There will be three versions of the S-Class Cabriolet available from the car’s launch. Starting the range is the S 500 which carries the £110,120 price tag and uses a 4.7-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, hooked up to a nine-speed automatic gearbox. Offering 449bhp, the S 500 covers the zero to 62mph sprint in 4.6 seconds and records an official average fuel economy of 32.5mpg.

Next in the S-Class Cabriolet range is the S 63 AMG model which is priced from £135,675 uses a 5.5-litre bi-turbo V8 delivering 577bhp. Featuring a seven-speed automatic gearbox, carbon ceramic brakes and air suspension as standard, this specification takes just 4.2 seconds to do the 0-62mph sprint.

Topping the S-Class Cabriolet line-up is the S 65 AMG priced from £192,805. It uses a bi-turbo V12 with 621bhp on tap and the same seven-speed automatic gearbox as the S 63. The S 65 covers the 0-62mph sprint in 4.1 seconds.

Equipment and options

Standard equipment for the S-Class Cabriolet includes 19-inch alloy wheels, sat-nav, dual 12.3-inch TFT display, heated and ventilated seats with electric operation and memory function and AIRSCARF neck-level heating.

When choosing the S 500 model, customers can add extra kit packages including the driving assist package for £2,295 or the Premium package for £4,998.

The driving assist pack adds various safety features like a 360-degree parking camera and active lane keeping assist, while the Premium pack adds new luxuries including 20-inch alloys and a Burmester surround sound system.

The S 63 and S65 meanwhile are exclusively available with the AMG Night packaged for £795 which gives some of the sporty exterior details a gloss black or black chrome makeover.
