MG reveals pricing and specifications for ZS

MG have unveiled pricing and specs for its new ZS Compact SUV that is available with seven-year warranty and zero-percent finance.

MG has announced the pricing and specifications for its new ZS compact SUV.

Starting from £12,495, the new model is available with zero-percent finance and a seven-year, 80,000-mile manufacturer warranty that is transferable to any owner during the period.

Two petrol engines and gearboxes are available for the car. The entry-level motor is a 1.5-litre developing 105bhp and 141Nm of torque, paired to a five-speed manual gearbox, taking the ZS from 0-60mph in 10.4 seconds and up to a top speed of 109mph. Fuel economy is a claimed 49.6mpg with CO2 emissions of 129g/km.

The second engine is a turbocharged 1.0-litre that produces 109bhp and 160Nm of torque which, coupled with a six-speed automatic gearbox, can take the ZS from 0-60mph in 12.1 seconds and to a top speed of 112mph. As for efficiency, fuel economy is claimed at 44.9mpg with 144g/km of CO2 emissions.

Three trim levels make up the ZS range — Explore, Excite and Exclusive. Standard equipment on all trims includes LED daytime running lights, Bluetooth connectivity and cruise control.

The range topping Exclusive model features 17-inch alloy wheels, leather-style upholstery and an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system that includes Apple CarPlay, satellite navigation and a reverse parking camera. Exclusive models are available from £17,495.

Six colours are available for the compact SUV — Arctic White, Laser Blue, Spiced Orange, Black Pearl, Cosmic Silver and Dynamic Red.

Order books for the MG ZS are now open, with deliveries having also begun.
