New electric Q4 e-tron and e-tron Sportback prices and specifications detailed

Audi’s most affordable EV boasts a practical interior and long electric range

Audi has announced full pricing and specifications for its new Q4 e-tron and sleeker Q4 e-tron Sportback.

Priced from £40,750 for the standard Q4 and £42,250 for the sleeker ‘coupe’-like Sportback model, it means the pair of models are Audi's most affordable electric cars  – sitting underneath the standard e-tron SUV and e-tron GT in the firm’s range.

Available in a wide choice of trim levels, two battery sizes are available – a  52kWh option delivering an electric range of up to 208 miles and a larger 77kWh battery that enables a claimed range of up to 316 miles.

Buyers also have the choice of three electric motor options. The 35 e-tron and 40 e-tron are both rear-wheel-drive and produce 168bhp and 201bhp respectively, while the 50 e-tron heads up the range with its dual motor setup enabling four-wheel-drive and producing a punchy 295bhp.

Entry-level Sport models feature 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and a large 10.1 touchscreen. S line models then bring sportier looks thanks to a more aggressive bodykit and larger 20-inch alloy wheels, with prices starting from £42,850 for the standard car and £44,350 for the Sportback.

Edition 1 models are next, gaining Matrix LED headlights, a black styling pack and electric front seats, with this trim available from £46,945 and £44,445 for the Sportback.

At the top of the range is the Vorsprung, which gets a steep price bump – costing from £54,450 for the regular Q4 and £55,950 if you choose the Sportback. A long list of extra standard kit is included, though – such as 21-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, Sonos sound system and full leather upholstery.

Audi UK director Andrew Doyle said: “The imminent arrival of the Q4 Sportback e-tron into our showrooms is the next crucial step in our bold electrification plan.

“Both the SUV and Sportback variants bring striking Audi design, impressive packaging, and attractive price points to a new segment of the market. Rapid charging capability and over 300 emission-free miles on a single charge will help ensure our transition from ICE to electric power is a smooth one for our customers."

Customer deliveries of the Q4 e-tron have already started, while Sportback variants are expected to hit the UK in October.
