The next-generation Mazda CX-5 is coming, and it will be revealed to the public globally on November 16th at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Accompanying this announcement from Mazda is a teaser image of the new CX-5 which shows the side of the car in a dimly lit area.
Judging by the image, the mid-size SUV does appear to have a similar design approach to the previous CX-5. But some differences like a more angled roofline and slimmer headlights are noticeable.
Hardly anything else has been revealed so far about the new CX-5, but Mazda says it has “refined all aspects” of the car’s design and technology to “deliver new dimensions of driving joy.”
The manufacturer adds that it has “taken the CX-5’s KODO — Soul of Motion exterior to a new level, honing the car’s beauty and imparting a formidable combination of sophistication and strength.”
Mazda will present its new CX-5 during a press conference held on the first of two press days at this year’s LA Auto Show.
