Renault has announced that it’s due to expand its Kadjar crossover range with the addition of a new range-topping trim level, plus a new seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
The new Signature S Nav specification is based on the existing Signature Nav model, and adds mod cons like black leather upholstery, heated front seats and an electrically-adjustable driver’s seat.
Buyers opting for the Signature S Nav model will also get hands-free parking and blind spot warning, plus a rear parking camera and parking sensors at the front and rear.
Priced from £23,695, the new range-topper is £1,400 more expensive than the Signature Nav, but Renault claims that all the extra equipment would cost £1,750 if specified separately.
£1,750 worth of extra equipment
The extensive equipment carried over from the Signature Nav also includes a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control and a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, plus TomTom satnav.
Buyers can specify the Signature S Nav with a choice of either 109bhp or 128bhp diesel engines, or alternatively a 128bhp petrol engine, with either two-wheel or four-wheel drive.
Renault has also introduced its new seven-speed dual clutch transmission to the range, which is available on Kadjar models with the 128bhp petrol motor from the Dynamique Nav trim upwards.
Priced at £1,200 over the standard manual gearbox, Renault claims that the new automatic gearbox is fractionally more economical than the manual while retaining virtually the same CO2 output.
