Orange Crush: Toyota unveils new limited-run GT86 Orange Edition

Toyota has unveiled a new limited-edition version of its GT86 sports car, which is due to be the first in a whole range of new special edition GT86s.

Called the GT86 Orange Edition for fairly obviously reasons, the car is the first in the new Club Series range which aims to celebrate Toyota’s motorsports heritage.

Along with the bespoke Solar Orange paintwork, the special edition car gets a rear spoiler lip and door mirror housings finished in contrasting black, along with black 17-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the car’s seats are upholstered in black leather and Alcantara with orange stitching, while the Orange Edition gets Toyota’s Touch2 infotainment screen with DAB radio and Bluetooth as standard.

Orange Edition cars also get heated front seats and aluminium sports pedals, though there are no touches to the 197bhp 2.0-litre boxer four engine which sits underneath the bonnet.

There aren’t any details on what the next Club Series car will look like, but you can expect a whole range of brightly-hued GT86s in the future.

The new GT86 Orange Edition is available to buy in the UK now, with prices starting from £28,800 for the standard manual or £30,270 for an automatic.
