Order books open for Volkswagen Polo and T-Roc

The compact vehicles are available to buy now, with deliveries starting later this year

The latest generation Polo and the newly-designed T-Roc are now available to order through Volkswagen dealers.

With the sixth-generation Polo, Volkswagen is offering its largest version of the compact car and is now as big as a Mark IV Golf, which was sold in the UK from 1997 to 2003.

Although not all trims are available from launch, the base-spec S version and some options for the SE and Beats models are on offer from today, with the rest of the line-up becoming available in due course.

The latest Polo comes with an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, air conditioning, front assist with pedestrian monitoring and LED daytime running lights from the S trim, which starts at £13,855. It also comes with a 64bhp 1.0-litre petrol engine and is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox.

The T-Roc is Volkswagen’s newest model and with the compact SUV market continuing to grow the German carmaker has thrown its hat into the ring.

Out of the five trim levels the model will be offered in, three will be available from launch – SE, Design and SEL – and prices start from £20,425.

The base SE spec T-Rocs come with two-zone electronic climate control, an eight-inch touchscreen with infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity, DAB radio, 16-inch alloy wheels and both passive and active safety systems. The body can also be offered in two-tone.

Deliveries for the T-Roc will begin in December, while Polo buyers will need to wait a little longer with new models being distributed in Q1 next year.
