Renault Captur refreshed to maintain strong sales

Renault is looking to maintain the strong popularity of its Captur with range updates including a new special edition.

Renault has updated its Captur range with a new engine and a new range-topping special edition.

The Captur was the best-selling compact crossover across Europe in 2015 and Renault aims to keep the sales flowing with some fresh updates available to order now.

Updated engine line-up

The Renault Captur in the Dynamique Nav trim and above is now available with a 118bhp 1.2-litre TCe turbocharged petrol engine, mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. This engine was previously only available with a dual-clutch EDC automatic ‘box.

With the manual gearbox fitted, the Captur with this engine officially records 51.4mpg combined and emits 125g/km in CO2.

Pricing for the Renault Captur with the 1.2-litre TCe and manual ‘box starts at £16,575. The Captur starts from £18,075 if you want the same engine with the automatic transmission.

New special edition added

The other major change for the Renault Captur range is the new Iconic Nav Special Edition. Finished exclusively in an Arctic White pearlescent paint job, this new special edition also features a Diamond Black finish for the roof and door mirror covers.

Part-leather upholstery, aluminium pedals and Renault’s latest R-Link Evolution infotainment system also feature in the Iconic Nav Special Edition. The Grip Xtend pack, which includes mud and snow tyres and a unique traction control system for better control on slippery surfaces, also comes as standard. Pricing for the Captur Iconic Nav Special Edition starts at £19,175.

One other minor change for the Captur range is the ability to pick a Flame Red metallic paint with Diamond Black roof finish with the Dynamique Nav and Dynamique S Nav versions.
