Skoda SUV range: Which should you choose?

Skoda’s range of SUVs is more varied than ever - but which one should you opt for?

The SUV segment is expanding with each passing day with and more and more options hitting the market. Skoda isn’t ignoring this and has brought a fleet of new SUVs to market in recent years.

The question is, which one should you go for? Here, we take a look at all of the SUVs currently available from the Czech firm and the merits that come with each one.

Kamiq

As the smallest SUV in Skoda’s range, the Kamiq is a great choice for those people who want a slightly raised ride height but without the large bodystyle which often accompanies an SUV. It’s available with a fine range of engines, too, with both petrol and diesel represented.

Inside, the Kamiq benefits from loads of high-end materials and a 9.2-inch touchscreen. You get a virtual cockpit-style set of digital dials, too.

Karoq

Move up to the Karoq and you’ll immediately notice more space over the compact Kamiq. It’s recently been bolstered with the introduction of a refined 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine, while an exterior refresh has sharpened the Karoq’s looks.

Adaptive suspension can be added as an optional extra too, while Skoda has updated its keyless entry system to automatically deactivate the key after a period of inactivity - preventing keyless car theft.

Kodiaq

As the largest SUV in Skoda’s range, the Kodiaq is a great option for those who want to focus on space. Available in both five- and seven-seater layouts, the Kodiaq packs loads of features as well as a real focus on practicality.

There’s also a range-topping vRS model which uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine to bring surprisingly brisk performance.

Enyaq iV

If you’re keen on an SUV but want to make the switch to an electric car at the same time, then Skoda has you more than catered for with the Enyaq iV. It’s the firm’s first fully electric car and, when specified with the largest battery option, can return over 300 miles from a single charge.

Inside, there’s a very futuristic cabin with a large central screen and a customisable display ahead of the driver.
