For company car drivers, efficiency and practicality are very important when looking for a new vehicle – and Ford’s latest version of the Mondeo Hybrid is aimed squarely at them.
Fitted with a petrol-electric hybrid setup, the Mondeo Hybrid is available as both an estate and a hatch, giving customers plenty of choice.
But why could the Mondeo Hybrid be a great choice for company car drivers? We take a look…
Efficient setup
With this powertrain, Mondeo Hybrid drivers will be able to achieve fuel consumption on similar levels to diesel – with Ford claiming the model can achieve 52.3mpg and emit just 98g/km CO2 in Hatch guise and 103g/km CO2 as an estate. That means company car drivers will be refueling less, and when they do, it’ll be with the fuel that is currently cheaper to fill up with.
Despite it having the lowest top speed of the current Mondeo line-up, the Hybrid setup will get drivers up to speed as fast any of the other power options currently available.
Quality equipment as standard
Company car drivers normally demand a lot of equipment when it comes to their vehicle, so with the Mondeo Hybrid offered on the Titanium Edition trim, customers will be glad to find that it is very well-appointed. Standard Zetec trim already offers a lot, such as LED daytime running lights, front and rear parking sensors, an eight-inch touchscreen with Sync 3 infotainment, dual-zone automatic climate control and emergency braking as well as a host of other options. It’s no surprise that the Titanium Edition comes with further excellent kit.
On the Mondeo Hybrid, Ford also adds 18-inch alloy wheels with the option of 17-inch units if preferred, automatic headlights with auto high beam, leather upholstery, heated front seats, dual 4.2-inch hybrid gauge displays, traffic sign recognition, lane keeping aid, keyless start and regenerative braking to recharge the lithium-ion battery pack.
If customers are after even more kit, the Vignale option comes with 19-inch dark alloys, LED adaptive headlights, privacy glass, a Vignale bodykit, a rear-view camera, Sony audio system and integrated active noise control.

Although the Hybrid’s battery pack does restrict boot space, the 386-litre load space in the Hatch is more than large enough for a few bags. The estate version on the other hand gives you plenty of room to play with, 633 litres in fact, and even though that’s less than the standard hatch, users should be more than happy with the space on offer.
