Two new trim levels introduced for the 2018 Dacia Duster

Romanian manufacturer refreshed SUV range for 2018 with two new trims levels, bringing more kit that includes a new satellite navigation system.

Budget brand Dacia has brought a new lease of life to its aging Duster SUV for 2018 with the introduction of two new trim levels.

Air and Nav+ variants of the Duster are now available, which replace Ambience, Laureate and Prestige in the range and sit above entry-level Access models.

Pricing for Air variants starts at £10,995, which features air conditioning, DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity and electric front windows as standard equipment. Exterior changes include body-coloured front and rear bumpers, along with 16-inch wheel trims and front fog lights.

Nav+ models command a bit of a premium over lesser trims at £13,095, but for the extra cost there’s the addition of Dacia’s MediaNav Evolution infotainment system, which includes a seven-inch touchscreen, rear parking sensors and a reverse camera. There’s also 16-inch alloy wheels, electric rear windows, heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors, an on-board computer and leather upholstery.

Access and Air models will be available with a 1.6-litre petrol engine, making 113bhp, while Nav+ can be fitted with a 1.2-litre turbocharged 123bhp unit or a 1.5-litre, 109bhp diesel motor.

All models can be specified with two- or four-wheel drive and come with a six-speed manual gearbox, while Nav+ buyers can opt for a six-speed automatic with the diesel engine.

Access models remain untouched, with prices still beginning at £9,495 — retaining its place as the least-expensive new SUV on the market. Order books for the 2018 Dacia Duster range are open, with deliveries set to begin in April for Air and Nav+ models.
