Vauxhall is now taking reservations for the upcoming Corsa-e — the firm’s first full EV.
Buyers interested in being the first behind the wheel of the electric hatch can place a £500 deposit, which secures an order for the Corsa-e. Vauxhall is also offering the first 500 customers in the UK a free home charging kit, too.
The Corsa-e utilises the same powertrain as the Peugeot e-208, with Vauxhall promising a range of 205 miles, which can be increased further by putting the car in ‘Eco’ mode. Using a fast-charger, its 50kWh battery can be charged to 80 per cent in 30 minutes, while its 134bhp electric motor can also accelerate the Corsa-e from 0-60mph in just 7.9 seconds.
Pricing for the car is set to start at £26,490, which is inclusive of the £3,500 electric car grant. Specification have yet to be announced, although the list of standard equipment is set to be comprehensive, with LED headlights, rear parking sensors and a seven-inch touchscreen with satellite navigation all included.

Final details of the all-new Corsa are expected to be announced when the Corsa-e receives its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, with production starting in January 2020. Expect to hear more on petrol-powered variants there, too.
