Ferrari Land Comes to Europe, and it Looks Awesome!

The legendary red and yellow sports car brand is bringing its adrenaline-soaked Ferrari Land theme park to Spain, complete with supercar-inspired rides.

A Ferrari Land theme park, surely that can’t be real, right? Well, you better believe it. And there’s one opening in PortAventura, Spain on April 7 this year.

Following the opening of Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi back in 2010, which hosts the world’s fastest ‘Formula Rossa’ rollercoaster, the sports car-maker is breaking into the European amusement park market with Ferrari Land.

The Vertical Accelerator and Bounce-Back Tower

A few of the rides have already been revealed for Ferrari Land and, as you may expect, they are centred on going fast… very fast.

According to travel website Conde Nast Traveller, the park will feature a rollercoaster called the Vertical Accelerator, which accelerates to 368 feet high, at 112mph in just five seconds. And at 368 feet, it clocks in as the tallest rollercoaster in Europe.

The park also features a ride called the Bounce-Back Tower, which replicates the up and down movement of engine pistons.

Italian Village, F1 Production Line and Virtual Reality

Aside to the fast and furious rollercoasters, Ferrari Land will also feature nods to the brand’s Italian homeland, including a miniature Italian village that serves food and a recreation of Ferrari’s famous Maranello F1 car production line.

A series of virtual experience simulators will also feature in the park, housed within a large structure which will no doubt offer immersive, supercar-inspired experiences.

How much is it to visit?

PortAventura will be the host park for Ferrari Land and you can buy an adult ticket for both parks for £52.
