First look at the Vauxhall Crossland X

A teaser image which partially reveals the new Crossland X SUV has been shared by Vauxhall.

Vauxhall has released a new teaser image which partially reveals its brand-new SUV called the Crossland X. It will sit above the Mokka X in Vauxhall’s range and take on the likes of the Nissan Qashqai and Renault Kadjar.

The teaser image, which was released across various social media platforms, doesn’t give much away but does at least give us a good idea of how the face of the Crossland X looks. The shape and detailing of the headlights and grille are very similar to Vauxhall’s Mokka X, but the detailing around the bumper is very different.

Some plastic body cladding can be observed which helps give the Crossland X a look that’s very reminiscent of other modern-day crossovers.

For now, not much else has been revealed about the Vauxhall Crossland X, but we could learn a lot more during the 2017 Geneva Motor Show this March.

The Crossland X is replacing the outgoing Vauxhall Meriva MPV and is expected to launch sometime later this year.

Vauxhall will likely offer a range of front- and four-wheel drive powertrains with the new Crossland X, and engines are likely to be shared with the Mokka X. Expect options then to include a 1.4-litre petrol unit and 1.6-litre diesel. A six-speed manual gearbox and six-speed automatic ‘box are also likely inclusions.
