Here's a sneak peek at Ken Block's new Gymkhana 8 car

The latest episode in Ken Block’s physics-defying Gymkhana series is due out in just under a week, but ahead of that a new teaser video has offered the first look at Block’s latest whip.

While the previous instalment made use of the ridiculous four-wheel drive Hoonicorn Mustang, Gymkhana 8 will see a return to the tried and tested rally-spec Fiesta Block’s famous for racing.

Full specifications have yet to be unveiled, but the new Fiesta ST RX43 generates up to 650 horsepower and in true Block fashion features a four-wheel drive powertrain plus new Toyo R1R tyres.

Interestingly, the RX43 also features a brand new reflective black-on-black livery, which displays the racer’s familiar paint scheme but which changes colour depending on the viewing angle.

Although Block teased a new 1978 Ford Escort MkII RS which was expected to appear in the upcoming Gymkhana 8 late last year, it’s unclear yet whether or not it will feature in the film.

In any case, drift fans won’t have long to wait to find out, as Gymkhana 8 is due to be released on YouTube late at night on February 29th. Better start warming up them tyres!
