One of the appeals of buying a new MINI is your ability to personalise it – there are rarely two MINIs alike on the roads, such are the number of options and accessories you can add to make your MINI your own.
But the choices are vast, with some great value packs that enhance your MINI without the need to tick multiple boxes on the options list.
Here’s our guide that tells you all you need to know about the option packs you can add to a MINI Cooper.
The most popular option pack on MINI Cooper models is the Pepper Pack, which comes with 15-inch Heli Spoke alloy wheels, velour floor mats, the MINI Excitement Pack (Bluetooth integration and G-Force monitor), front fog lights, a leather steering wheel, on-board computer, height adjustable passenger seat, extra storage compartments, rain sensors and automatic headlights, auto air conditioning and orange interior lights. More than half of all Coopers are specified with the Pepper Pack, such is its popularity.
Upgrade to the Chilli Pack and you get larger 17-inch alloys, a Sport button to sharpen up driving responses, rain sensors with auto headlights, an enhanced stowage package, dark silver interior details, extended interior light package, white indicator lenses, front LED fog lights, an on-board computer, part leather seats, a sports steering wheel with multifunction controls and velour Chilli floor mats.
The optional Sport Pack is all about driving excitement, and adds sports suspension, 17-inch track spoke alloys, multiple driving modes, a John Cooper Works steering wheel, roof spoiler, aero kit and sill finishers and dual-zone automatic air conditioning.Enquire Now on a new MINI Cooper
With the Media Pack, you can add some geek chic to your MINI, with the MINI Nav System XL, which gives you a giant 8.8-inch screen to view the high-definition 3D navigation on. It’s big enough that, thanks to a split-screen function, it can display two map views at the same time. Operated via the central MINI Controller with touch functionality, it includes MINI Connected, MINI Connected XL Journey Mate, enhanced Bluetooth and a 20GB hard drive. MINI Connected XL takes the MINI Connected services further, offering a range of smart apps to connect your MINI with the world around it.
Enhanced Bluetooth with USB audio mobile preparation lets you make calls safely while driving, while you also get a centre armrest with storage ideal for your mobile phone, plus a three-spoke, sports steering wheel with a multifunction option that can operate a range of phone functions, including accepting incoming calls and scrolling through contacts.
JCW Chilli Pack
There’s also an exclusive Chilli Pack for John Cooper Works models. The JCW Chilli Pack adds the MINI Excitement Pack, rain sensors with aut headlights, 18-inch JCW Cup Spoke two-tone wheels, an on-board computer, black leather seats, a two-part boot floor and orange interior illumination.
JCW Sport Pack
Finally, there a JCW Sport Pack for John Cooper Works cars, which includes 17-inch black track spoke alloys, a JCW aerodynamics kit, white indicators and sports suspension.
In addition to the standard packs, there are hundreds of accessories you can add to your MINI, ranging from sports exhausts to tartan door mirrors (no, really). You can check out the full range of MINI Kit here.Take a test drive in a new MINI today
