2017 Volkswagen Golf to be unveiled early November

The 2017 Volkswagen Golf will be unveiled during early November, and is expected to feature new looks, new equipment and potentially a new hybrid powertrain.

Volkswagen has announced that it will unveil the next evolution of the best-selling Golf hatchback early next month.

Although it’s a facelift, it’s widely expected that the Golf will see heavy updates with revised looks and a whole host of new upgrades to its equipment and powertrain options.

Little has been officially confirmed, but Volkswagen will likely be using the opportunity to further push its new focus on electrification and hybrids, with a possible new hybrid option in the works.

Increased focus on hybridisation?

As well as that, the facelifted Golf is expected to come with a new infotainment system, potentially with a larger screen than before and also with new features like a gesture control system.

Volkswagen is also likely to apply the changes across the entire Golf range, so expect to see updated versions of the GTi and GTD models on the way, along with revisions to the current GTE and R.

We’ll have to wait and see exactly what Volkswagen has planned for the new Golf, but expect to know more within the next couple of weeks.
