The new Volvo XC60 SUV is available to order now and UK pricing has been confirmed. The BMW X3 and Audi Q5 rival starts from £37,205 and first deliveries will take place this autumn.
Sitting below the XC90 in Volvo’s SUV line-up, the 2017 XC60 range starts with the Momentum trim followed by Pro, R-Design and Inscription - each of which also comes avilable with an upgraded Pro derivative, like Inscription Pro.
Three engines for the new XC60
Engines for the Volvo XC60 range include the 187bhp D4 diesel, the 251bhp T5 petrol unit and the 232bhp D5 PowerPulse diesel. The D5 is available only for the R-Design and Inscription trims, plus their Pro derivatives. All specifications use all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
The cheapest model in the XC60 range is the D4 AWD Momentum, which carries the £37,205 starting price tag. Standard kit for the Momentum trim includes two-zone climate control, heated front seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, a powered tailgate and LED headlights.
Step up to Momentum Pro, priced from £39,005, and you also get powered front seats, a heated steering wheel and windscreen and active bending headlights. Also added is Volvo On Call, which allows you to control various car functions remotely via a smartphone app.
The R-Design version of the XC60 starts from £39,705 and features 19-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension plus leather-trimmed sports seats. The R-Design Pro, priced from £43,705, uses 21-inch alloy wheels and adds electronic air suspension plus adaptive dampers.
Go for the Inscription trim, which starts at £41,205, and the XC60 features 19-inch alloys, chrome exterior details, Nappa soft leather upholstery and electrically adjustable ventilated front seats.
The Inscription Pro trim, starting from £44,905, comes with 20-inch alloys, electronic air suspension with adaptive dampers and a massage function for the front seats.
