Honda has released pricing and specification for the refreshed Jazz, with the base S trim starting from £14,115.

Available in four grades – S, SE, EX and Sport – the model has received a minor facelift on the exterior and new technology inside to gain more appeal in the large hatchback market.

However, the main addition is the new Sport trim as it takes inspiration from the newly introduced Civic Type R.

Coming with LED headlights, front fog lamps, detailed bodywork on the front bumper, side sills and rear spoiler, 16-inch gloss black alloys and red accent lines like those on the Type R, the Sport is the most dynamic of the range. It also comes with the most powerful i-VTEC petrol engine – a 1.5-litre unit which produces 129bhp.

Prices for the Sport start from £17,155 and inside models have pinstriped cloth upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, and orange detailing – adding to the SE spec it is based on.

That comes with front and rear parking sensors, electrically-adjustable heated wing mirrors and 15-inch alloy wheels. SE starts from £15,615.

The EX trim is the most polished, as it comes with smart entry and start, automatic climate control and reversing camera. 16-inch alloys are also standard, alongside LED headlights and front fog lamps. Prices for EX start from £17,115.

For the base S spec, models come with air conditioning, cruise control with speed limiter and dusk-sensing lights – which are all fitted to higher trims. S models have a starting price of £14,115.

Head of cars at Honda UK Phil Webb said: “The Jazz is our best-selling car in the UK and has been rejuvenated with the new Sport model, as well as the new interior and exterior styling.

“The Jazz is a very important model for us, with an extremely loyal following, so we look forward to seeing this success continue with the new line up and the addition of the Sport model.”

Deliveries will begin in February for the S, SE and EX trims, while the Sport version is available to pre-order now for later delivery.
