Volvo has released pricing for the V60 Cross Country, with deliveries of the SUV-styled estate beginning in the first quarter of 2019.
Starting from £38,270, the V60 Cross Country includes charcoal plastic cladding, a lower grille, extended wheel arches and ‘Cross Country’ badging embossed on the rear bumper. It has also been given 18-inch alloy wheels that are exclusive to the model.
With its ride height raised by 60mm over the standard V60, Volvo has also given the Cross Country permanent all-wheel drive to help with trickier surfaces, while the 187bhp D4 diesel engine has been paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain can achieve a quoted 55.4mpg and 135g/km CO2.
Volvo has also fitted the V60 Cross Country with an Off Road Drive Mode, which alters the responsiveness of the engine, transmission and accelerator when travelling on rougher surfaces at speeds below 25mph. It’s paired with hill descent control, which helps control the vehicle’s speed down slopes.
Standard equipment includes front and rear parking sensors, automatic LED headlights with active high beam, a powered tailgate and hill start assist, and Volvo’s Sensus infotainment system with nine-inch touchscreen.
The Cross Country also comes with dual-zone climate control and a suite of safety systems, such as city safety with automatic emergency braking and oncoming collision mitigation.
