5 reasons why you should consider a Jeep for your next car

Looking for a new car? Here’s what Jeep can offer you

Deciding on a new car can be tough. With so much choice, settling on a particular model can be a challenge.

While there is no ‘one size fits all’ in the car world, there are certain brands that are offering more appeal than ever before. Jeep, for example, has a great line-up of SUVs and 4x4s that will appeal to the ever-growing number of buyers after high-riding models.

Here are five reasons why you should consider a Jeep…

An SUV for everyone

Whereas other manufacturers have had to diversify to create SUVs and 4x4s, Jeep has been able to draw on years more experience than rivals.

And despite having a relatively limited range compared to others, the four-strong line-up caters for all SUV buyers. From the compact Renegade crossover that would be ideal around town, to the Compass that makes a great family car, the rugged Wrangler and finally with the upmarket large Grand Cherokee, there is something for everyone.

Genuine off-road ability

While many SUV buyers might just like the chunky styling and higher ride of SUVs and 4x4s, if you want a car with genuine ability of-road, your options are far more limited.

Plenty of smaller crossovers today are not even available with a four-wheel-drive option, and if you live out in the sticks or regularly head off the tarmac, Jeep is the manufacturer for you.

Every Jeep model is available with a derivative that’s ‘Trail Rated’ – essentially meaning they’re supremely talented off-road. Even the smallest Renegade is available with selectable off-road modes and hill descent control.

Cool and distinctive styling

While all manufacturers like to drum up the rugged looks of their crossovers and SUVs, arguably none are quite as successful as Jeep when it comes to design impact. With the immediately recognisable seven-bar grille, chunky styling and raised ride height, all Jeeps look the part.

Opt for the Wrangler and you’re also able to choose it in a host of bright colours. Along with various roof covers, with a soft-top even available so that you can have a convertible off-roader.

You can choose a plug-in hybrid

You might look at Jeep and expect them to be thirsty to run, but thanks to the introduction of a new plug-in hybrid version, this is no longer the case.

That’s because the Jeep Renegade 4xe PHEV will soon be available – offering low running costs, but no compromise when it comes to off-road ability.

With 237bhp thanks to its combination of petrol engine and electric motor, Jeep claims this Renegade will be able to hit 60mph in 7.1 seconds, while being able to travel for 30 miles on electricity.

A five-year warranty

A three-year warranty is commonplace with many manufacturers, but if you want to make sure your car is covered for longer than that, it’s well worth considering a Jeep as they come with a five-year warranty, which covers you for up to 75,000 miles.

On top of that, you also get five years of roadside assistance cover, too, which also includes getting a courtesy car and any accommodation expenses paid for in the unlikely event that mechanics can’t get your Jeep working at the roadside.
