Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio UK price confirmed

Alfa Romeo has confirmed that the Giulia Quadrifoglio performance saloon will start from £59,000 when it goes on sale this October.

The Giulia Quadrifoglio, which is currently making its UK public debut appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, slots in between two of its main rivals with its price. It is more expensive than the BMW M3, which starts at £56,605 but cheaper than the Mercedes C63 AMG saloon which costs from £60,700.

Alfa’s new performance saloon uses a twin-turbo 2.9-litre petrol V6, which has been developed by Ferrari exclusively for the Quadrifoglio. It is a smaller version of the engine used in the Ferrari 488.

Able to produce 507bhp and 600Nm of torque, the Giulia Quadrifoglio is capable of going from zero to 62mph in just 3.9 seconds before hitting a top speed of 190mph. Around the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife track, the Giulia Quadrifoglio can complete a lap 14 seconds faster than the BMW M4.

Standard kit for the Quadrifoglio includes 19-inch alloy wheels, carbon fibre sports seats and xenon headlights, along with leather and Alcantara trim and a sports steering wheel.

Pricing for the regular Alfa Romeo Giulia, which will be available with a 2.2-litre diesel engine and 2.0-litre petrol, is expected to start from around £30,000.
