After its world premiere, we reveal all there is to know on the latest addition to the Volkswagen SUV range, the T-Cross.

Earlier this month, Volkswagen revealed the fifth model to its SUV line-up – the T-Cross – which will become the smallest option when it hits showrooms next year.

Here is the important information on Volkswagen’s newest model…

Four engine options

Customers will be able to choose between four turbocharged power options for their T-Cross, with the selection made up of three petrol and one diesel. For the lower-end 94bhp and 114bhp petrol options, Volkswagen use a 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine – with the top 148bhp unit a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine. The only diesel is a 1.6-litre four-cylinder unit developing 94bhp.

Surprising amounts of space

Despite the T-Cross measuring just 4.11 metres long, it has a decent amount of storage space and is perfect for city drivers who need that extra storage space. With the moveable rear bench, the T-Cross offers between 385 and 445 litres with the seats in place – which can be extended to 1,281 litres when the rear bench is folded down. That makes the adaptable interior perfect for most situations – whether you’re hauling people or lots of items.

The driver alert system, automatic adaptive cruise control and park assist are also optional extras for you to choose.
