Aston Martin’s latest Q car is Blue A-Ba-Dee-A-Ba-Die

Nope, Blue Man Group hasn’t swapped the tour bus for a grand tourer: the car you see above, resplendent in Smurf-esque blue, is in fact the latest car to be made by Aston Martin’s Q division.

The manufacturer’s in-house customisation department, which by no coincidence shares a name with 007’s go-to gadget genius, has turned its hand to the new DB11. And boy, is it blue.

Somewhat annoyingly, the actual colour is called Zaffre Blue and not Eiffel 65 Blue, but it's everywhere: on the outside, stitched all over the inside and even on the wheels too - all that’s missing is a G4RG4M3L numberplate.

Named the DB11 by Q, the car will debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show and serves to highlight just how wacky you can get with the customisation options on your new Aston, should you choose to.

Dr Matthew Bennett, head of the Q division, said: “The only limit is your imagination - every new commission starts with a blank sheet of paper.”

Here’s just hoping that when it comes to ordering your own Q car, you’ve got plenty of sense to go along with your money…
