The German manufacturer has updated its A4 to give it a revised look and new equipment options.

Audi has revealed its updated A4, which has been lightly revised for the 2019 model year as well as a introducing a new S line competition equipment grade.

The German manufacturer is typically reserved when it comes to revising and altering its cars, and this latest model really is a ‘squint and you’ll miss it’ state of affairs.

The facelifted A4 benefits from “newly designed” front and rear bumpers, as well a slightly more striking front end.

Popular sporty-looking S line trim has been given a new look, too, and receives a more dynamic look than before, with a new grille helping to distinguish the model from other trim levels.

As well as S line trim, there’s also a new an S line ‘competition equipment line’ on the new model. This features a ‘3D look’ grille, as well as new trapezium-shaped exhaust pipes, replacing the circular tailpipes from before. The gap between the rear diffuser and exhaust pipes has also been reduced.

Other benefits of this grade include an RS rear spoiler on estate ‘Avant’ models as well as a Turbo Blue paint finish. There’s also an Audi logo sticker on the bottom of the rear door, too.

Other equipment changes on the model include Audi Sport 19-inch alloys, sports suspension, red brake callipers and LED headlights.

On the interior, the S line competition package builds on the standard S line model - adding RS carbon inlays and black part-leather seats. Optional ‘S’ sport seats are also available.

While no UK prices have been announced for the facelifted model, it’s expected to go on sale in the third quarter of 2018.
