BMW introduces range of new special-edition SUVs

The new models are only available in small numbers

BMW has announced a trio of new special edition versions of its flagship X5, X6 and X7 SUVs, which gain bolder styling than the standard cars.

Let’s start with the new X5 and X6 Black Vermillion Editions, which are limited to just 50 units each across the UK and Ireland. The cars all come painted in a matte Frozen Black paint finish, while also receiving bold red accents on the grille, too. This element is particularly emphasised on the X6, due to its grille being able to light up.

A new set of 22-inch alloy wheels are also fitted, while other details include BMW laser lights and a sports exhaust being fitted. Privacy glass is also included, along with red brake callipers.

Inside, the models benefit from a black Alcantara headlining, exclusive piano black detailing and black leather upholstery with red stitching.

Edition. The spec is actually quite similar to the previous two versions, as it too comes painted in matte Frozen Black paint, with grey 22-inch alloy wheels and a range of black styling elements. The X7 special edition is far rarer, however, as just five examples will come to the UK and Ireland.

BMW hasn’t announced prices for the trio of special-edition SUVs, but says they are now available to order, with first deliveries expected in September 2021.
