To celebrate three decades of the hallowed M3, BMW has revealed a special anniversary edition of the current M3, the M3 30 Jahre Edition.
Only 30 will be available in the UK, and the 30 Jahre Edition is an extension of the new Competition Package option for the M3 and M4 which were unveiled by BMW earlier this year.
With a 19bhp boost over the regular M3, the 30 Jahre Edition has a maximum output of 450bhp from its turbocharged inline-six engine and also features BMW’s Adaptive M suspension system.

The anniversary special edition also comes with 20-inch light alloy wheels, along with Frozen Silver metallic paint to accentuate its lines and various contrasting details on the bodywork.
A carbon fibre splitter sits at the front end and the car also sports mirror caps, a rear diffuser and a spoiler all made of carbon fibre, plus a sports exhaust system finished in black chrome.
Inside, the M3 30 Jahre Edition gets BMW M sports seats and an M Performance steering wheel clad in Alcantara, along with carbon fibre interior trim and exclusive 30 Jahre badging on the door sills.

Full leather Merino upholstery with contrasting black-blue touches are also included, plus a 16-speaker Harman/Kardon surround sound system and BMW’s heads-up display.
Due to go on sale this summer, exactly 30 years after the first ever BMW M3 was sold at the 1985 Frankfurt Motor Show, the new BMW M3 30 Jahre Edition will be priced from £82,675.
