The base Elegance spec is only available with the BlueHDi 130 diesel engine paired to a six-speed manual gearbox, but in that trim you still get a fair amount of kit. 18-inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, LED front foglights and a leather steering wheel are all fitted on Elegance models.

The Performance Line model is the first trim to offer a central touchscreen system, with a 12-inch screen the focal point of the cockpit – with satellite navigation and smartphone connectivity featured. A 12.3-inch digital cluster is placed in the instrument binnacle, with DS also fitting the innovative Active Scan Suspension, which reads the road ahead and sets up the suspension accordingly.

The interior is finished in alcantara upholstery and faux leather, with a perforated leather steering wheel also applied. Outside, DS adds 19-inch alloys, its innovative Active LED Vision system and dark-tinted windows.

The Presitge and Ultra Prestige trims add further premium features, such as the Advanced Safety Pack – which includes active blind spot detection, lane keeping assist and driver attention alert amongst others – and front parking sensors, as well as wireless smartphone charging and electric front seats with ventilation and massage functions.

Two turbocharged petrol and two diesel engine options are available with the majority of the range, with an eight-speed automatic the transmission option for most of the range.
