Facelifted Renault Clio arriving in October

Facelifted Renault Clio arriving in October

The Renault Clio is getting a refresh that includes new engines and extra safety kit. These updates will be launched in the UK this October.

Renault has revealed images and details of its facelifted Clio. The updated supermini will go on sale in the UK from this October, with deliveries following later the same month.

Exterior changes

The facelift’s styling changes are subtle for the Clio’s exterior. Changes include new LED headlights, a redesigned front grille and a new rear bumper.

The differences, particularly those for the headlights, make the car closer in design to the upcoming new Megane and keeps the Clio fresh next to major rivals including the Ford Fiesta, Vauxhall Corsa and Volkswagen Polo.

Renault has also added some new exterior paint colours for customers to choose, including Mars Red, Arctic White, Iron Blue and Titanium Grey.

Equipment and engine changes

Interior updates include a matt finish on the chrome trim and an optional BOSE sound system. There are also three multimedia systems available depending on trim level.

For entry-level models there’s a new system called R&GO and that’s followed by Media Nav Evolution and R-Link Evolution which have more advanced features.

Engine updates for the facelifted Renault Clio include a 1.5-litre dCi diesel with 108bhp and a 1.2-litre TCe petrol unit with 118bhp. Both engines come with a six-speed manual gearbox.

There’s new safety kit available for the facelifted Clio as well, such as front and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera. Models high up the Clio’s range also get a hands-free autonomous parking aid.
