The first shipments of the new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross have arrived in the UK, with customer deliveries due to begin later in January.

Arriving at Bristol’s Royal Portbury Docks over the Christmas period, the first examples of the crossover are now heading to Mitsubishi dealers across the country.

Starting from £21,275, the Eclipse Cross is available in three trim levels — named 2,3 and 4 — with range-topping 4 models available from £24,975. Standard equipment on all models includes cruise control, a six-speaker stereo with DAB radio, LED daytime running lights, 16-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass, a rear-view camera and an infotainment system that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Also available from launch is a limited-run First Edition model, of which only 250 examples will be available. Extras for this include carbon-fibre-effect bumper trim, a side skirt extension kit and silver styling details on the front and rear of the car. Inside, there are floor mats with First Edition badging. This limited-edition model is priced from £26,825.

Lance Bradley, managing director of Mitsubishi Motors UK, said:

“We anticipate that the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross will quickly become one of our most popular models and we are preparing to meet demand, while also ensuring that lead times are optimised for customers, whether they are purchasing at a dealership or through Mitsubishi Buy Online.

“With its distinctive style, high levels of equipment and impressive value, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross will appeal to a whole spectrum of car buyers.”
